Gérard Schlosser

Art Appreciation

As a kid traveling with my parents, Sundays were usually spent at art museums. Although I'm not an artist, an appreciation for art has since developed.

I came across art work that reminded me of Tom Wesselmann. In fact, I thought it was a Wesselmann when I first saw the painting, but in fact it was an art piece created by French painter Gérard Schlosser.

Born in June 1931, Schlosser is known for his hyper-realistic of body parts. His technique is capturing close-ups of intimate moments and projecting them onto canvas.

You can see more of his work HERE or watch a compilation video of his work HERE.
