My Choices for the AVN Fan Awards
Since 2017, I’ve had a quirky little tradition of participating in the AVN Fan Awards voting, where I get to champion my favorite adult entertainer of the year. For the uninitiated, AVN is like the "Oscars" of the Adult Entertainment Industry—it’s been a thing since 1984 and celebrates the hardworking folks who bring a little extra spice to the screen and help us all get off.
To make things more fun (and a bit competitive), I turned my selecting process into a March Madness-style bracket. Yep, performers are randomly paired up, and I go through each matchup using "stats" like their follower counts, bios from adult wikis, and overall vibe to determine who advances to the next round. It’s part research, part gut feeling, and all fun!
Is it a little time-consuming? Sure. But over the years, I’ve fine-tuned the system, so now it doesn’t take me a month to sift through all these amazing contenders.
This year, I’ve even included explanations for my picks—a little peek behind the curtain of my very scientific (wink, wink) method.

This contrast made it difficult to compare nominees like Purple Bitch and Sia Siberia, or Kristie Bish and RinCity, whose strengths lay in very different aspects of the cosplay world. Ultimately, I prioritized cosplay experience, craftsmanship, and impact, which led to tough decisions like selecting Kawabarker over Kristie Bish and narrowing down the final contenders: Sweetie Fox, Octokuro, Kawabarker, and Jessica Nigri. Sweetie Fox stood out not only for her artistry and sensuality but also for the unique way she blends beauty with the fantasy of cosplay, making her a compelling choice for the title.

My final four included Addison Vodka, Serenity Cox, Savvy Sux, and Bella Spark. The decision came down to Addison Vodka and Bella Spark, with Bella Spark ultimately taking the top spot. At just 22 years old and originally from Israel, Bella Spark exudes the charisma and potential of a young Alex Grey or Emma Hix, positioning her for a promising future in an incredibly competitive industry.

My final four contenders were Ella Reese, Madi Collins, Sophia Burns, and Violet Starr—all talented and deserving in their own right. In the end, it came down to Madi Collins and Sophia Burns. While I adore Madi Collins, especially given her petite 4'10" frame, which feels like a perfect match for someone like me at 5'5", the spirit of the category is about recognizing underrated talent. For that reason, Sophia Burns, with her versatility and dedication to exploring various kinks, gets my vote for "Unsung Darling."
