Yuri Kaluta

Art Appreciation

I came across a beautiful painting of a nude woman standing in front of her vanity. In the reflection, you can see a man standing at the doorway looking at her. Is it the painter, or does the artist want to tell a story?

The painting is titled "The Mirror" and it is by Russian contemporary artist Yuri Kaluta.

You can find more of his art HERE.

Thomas John Carlson

Art Appreciation

I came across a painting of a crown covered with pearls and gems on Artodyssey1 that caught my attention. The painting's title is "King" and it is by Minnesota-born artist, Thomas John Carlson.

Carlson, who also founded the Jersey City Art School (JCAS), is known for sharing his memories and experiences through his paintings.

You can see more of his work HERE.

Ivan Warhammer

Photography Appreciation

There is not much information regarding Russian photography Ivan Warhammer. I came across his photography through one of the blogs I follow.

Warhammer is regarded as the photographer of beautiful women. He is a photographer who captures women in their purest. As he has stated in an interview I found, he finds his models through social media, and he exchanges correspondence to get to known his model before scheduling a shoot.

Additionally, he doesn't use alcohol to relax a model because to him it makes the pictures less sincere, and although he is known for shooting nude photos, he places more emphasis on the model's eyes, hands, and hair.

You can see more of his wonderful work HERE.
