George Hoyningen-Huene


Photography Appreciation

Baron George Hoyningen-Huene was a fashion photographer during the 1920s and 1930s. Born in Russia on September 4, 1900, Hoyningen-Huene family fled Russia to London then Paris.

In Paris, at the age of 25, he became French Vogue's chief of photography. In 1935, Hoyningen-Huene moved to New York City where he worked for Harper's Bazaar. He later worked shooting portraits for the film industry.

R.I.P. Gene Wilder


Acting Appreciation

I must have been 14 or 15 years old when I ran into Willy Wonka on Rodeo Drive. 

My family and I were window shopping when I saw him walking towards us. I was speechless but he noticed me with a smile. That smile that makes everyone smile. It's that genuine smile. 

R.I.P., Gene Wilder.
