Released on September 28, 1966, The Bible: In the Beginning premiered in New York City. The film, which was produced by Dino De Laurentiss and directed by the legendary John Huston, depicts the first 22 chapters of the Book of Genesis.

The film stars cinema's greatest actors such as George C. Scott, Ava Gardner, Peter O'Toole, Stephen Boyd, Richard Harris, and Michael Parks.

The song, which is said to have been Springsteen's final attempt to become successful, is considered Bruce Springsteen's best out of the 293 songs written.

Bruce Springsteen was born on September 23, 1949 in the town of Long Branch, New Jersey. He was inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999.
