Jane's Addiction - Jane Says

Music Appreciation

Released August 23, 1988, Jane Says by Jane's Addiction peaked the Alternative Songs chart at #6. The song appeared in the group's 1987's debut album, Jane's Addiction then re-recorded in the Nothing's Shocking album.

The title of the song refers to Perry Farrell's ex-housemate, Jane Bainter, who is the muse and inspiration for the most of his songs and the band's namesake.

The music video was directed by Carter B. Smith, and features the band playing the song during their tour.
