Ashley Wood
Art Appreciation
Ashley Wood is an Australian comic book artist and award-winning illustrator. He generally works in mixed media combining oil and digital and creating textured dark images of fictional characters and figures.
He is known for his cover art for Image and IDW Publishing, and his contribution in creating the first digital comics, Metal Gear Solid: Digital Graphic Novel.

I had a huge crush on Susan Gallagher (The Cars' You Might Think), Christie Brinkley (Billy Joel's Uptown Girl), and Sherrie Swafford (Steve Perry's Oh Sherrie), when I was eight years old.
But while I was subconsciously discovering my preference in the opposite sex, there were two iconic films that I, like many my age, absolutely loved: Footloose, Purple Rain, and Ghostbusters.
