Forian Meacci

Art Appreciation

I came across a realistic drawing of a Dia de los Muertos woman on a blog I follow. The details are beautiful. Her eyes are captivating and transfixing. The drawing is by French-born illustrator Florian Meacci.

With the use of a biro pen, watercolores, and sometimes colored pencils, Meacci is known for his detailed hand drawn illustrations in fashion and portraits. His clients include H&M and Adidas.

Casey Calvert

Acting Appreciation

Born on March 17, 1990, in Baltimore, Maryland, Casey Calvert discovered her passion for acting at a young age. She attended the University of Florida, where she studied filmmaking. While at college, she took a class on Mass Media Law, where she learned that pornography was not illegal, but rather a form of protected freedom of speech in the United States.

As a junior, she worked as an art model and learned about the fetish and BDSM scene. She then appeared in Hustler's Taboo before entering the adult film industry on November 5, 2012.

After graduating from UF magna cum laude, Casey launched her website and appeared in many adult films -- primarily, fetish and BDSM. She has written for GameLink and The Huffington Post on BDSM and pornography. She has also contributed essays and participated discussions on the subject.

In addition to acting, Casey has produced and directed many adult films. Most recently is a feature for LustCinema called Primary, a six-episode series about four people in LA dealing with open relationships.

As a strong advocate of feminism, she has made it a mission to debunk stereotypes about female sex workers, she explained, "What I can say is that not all sex workers are the stereotype people want to believe. Many of us are college educated, feminists, and absolutely love what we do."
