I received a social club event announcement email this morning with the subject line "Amateur Porn and Pecan Festival?" I had to look twice at the subject line again to make sure I read it correctly and enunciated it, "Am-uh-choo-r pawrn and pi-kahn fes--tuh-vuh l question mark."
Naturally, I clicked on the email, and found the "Amateur Porn" reference. It's Dan Savage's Hump! Film Festival, which is being held in Austin today and tomorrow. Oh!
Dan Savage is an American author and LGBT community activist who writes a sex column, Savage Love, and is credited for pulling off one of the best pranks in political history when he provided an alternative definition for santorum (U.S. Senator Rick Santorum): "the frothy mixture of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the by-product of anal sex."
Savage coordinates the annual Hump! Film Festival, where individuals, who aren't professional porn stars, submit short films of kinks, fetishes, and fantasies.
