Art Appreciation
In the early 20th century, one wouldn't think a pinup illustrator being a woman. However, unlike other pinup illustrators of the day, Zoë Mozert became a well-known and respected illustrator whose pinups depicted "real" women.
Born on April 27, 1907, Zoë Mozert was her own model in many of her early works. During her time, she painted hundreds of magazine covers, movie posters, calendars, and publicity posters.
