Stand By Me
Film Appreciation
When I was 10 years old, my dad took me to watch Stand By Me at the movies. The film featured a few actors I would later recognize over time such as Wil Wheaton, Corey Feldman, Jerry O'Connell, and River Phoenix.
Based on Stephen King's novella The Body, the film, which was directed by Rob Reiner, tells a story of four kids set to find the body of a missing boy.
Released on August 8, 1986, the film did great in the box office and received many accolades from the Hollywood Foreign Press and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
