Toad The Wet Sprocket - All I Want

Music Appreciation

To me, Toad the Wet Sprocket is synonymous to "the early 90s." Many of the main stream alternative rock bands looked and sounded quite similar. (I'm sure I will get flak for saying this)

Formed in 1986, Toad the Wet Sprocket had many hits, including "All I Want." The song, which became their best known song, was featured in the TV series Doogie Howser, M.D. and Dawson's Creek.

The music video, directed by Hans Neleman, shows frontman Glen Phillips performing with the band on a theater stage before an empty audience with quick random images of women, dancers, and words. The video portrays the song's lyrics of wanting to hold on to moments.

Emily Galusha

Art Appreciation

If you find yourself at Canopy, the art community complex in Austin, you'll know Emily Galusha's art studio. Look for the paintings of floating buffalo, antique pistols, and birds surrounded by art enthusiasts and admirers.

Born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, Emily Galusha is a painter, illustrator, and graphic designer, inspired by the Southwest and country life.

Photographer Scott David Gordon has a great podcast interview of Emily Galusha, which you can listen HERE.

Watch the artist documentary short by Richard Casteel, below.
