Photography Appreciation
Herbert List was a German fashion photographer known for his black and white photos of male nudes and erotic street photography. Many of his photos appeared in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and Life.
List is also known for his "fotografia metafiscia," where he experimented using mirrors and double exposures to make surrealistic metaphysical photography.
Later in his career, he joined Magnum Photos and was influenced by Henri Cartier-Bresson and the Italian neorealist film movement.
