Photography Appreciation
Born on December 27, 1906, American photographer Andreas Feininger was known for his black and white scenes of Manhattan architectural structures.
Feininger was educated as an architect in Germany, but gave it up to focus on photography. He immigrated to the United States in 1936 and established himself as a freelance photographer. He joined Life magazine in 1943.
